Mit XMPP kann man für Multi-User-Chat nur Conference/Chat-Rooms (standardmäßig temporär) erstellen. Sollte über das Buddies >> Chat hinzufügen Menü bzw. über das Rechts-Klick-Menü eines Kontaktes funktionieren. Dann muss man einfach die anderen Nutzer in den Chatraum einladen.

Will Deine Anleitung mal wieder herauskramen... Hat soweit alles geklappt! Nun aber noch zwei Fragen: Kann man (und wie) mit Pidgin irgendwie einen Multi-User-Chat starten? Ich sehe meine "Buddys" und kann mit jedem einzelnen schreiben - aber nicht mit mehreren gleichzeitig. Damit einher geht meine zweite Frage: Wenn ich mich also wie oben beschrieben bei jabber.ccc.de angemeldet habe, wie kann ich einem ChatRaum beitreten - bzw. noch lieber - einen eigenen erstellen? Wenn ich auf "Werkzeuge" - "Chaträume" -"Liste abrufen" gehe und vorher "jabber.ccc.de" als Serveradresse eingegeben habe, bekomme ich immer: "Fehler beim Empfangen der Raumliste - 503: Dienst nicht verfügbar"

Vielleicht weißt Du ja weiter?

Yeah, I get this a lot lately. Looks like I was not clear enough: I'm
phasing in trakt.tv support. Right now you can only mark episodes as seen
and rate them via the share buttons. Also if you enabled integration it
auto-submits episodes you mark watched in the Overview (tap on a show, then
via the eye-button).
I'm currently working on a version that includes experimental marking of
watched episodes from trakt in SeriesGuide and which has a better
description of the current trakt integration.

Have a per show setting to use the dvd order for the next show on the summary screen. Especially good for rewatching old shows like Firefly.

I actually had a very similar idea as 2), but with a few more options:

1) One press on the checkbox would turn it green with the text "Watched already", just like it works today.
2) A second press would turn it red with the text " Not yet watched", meaning I haven't yet seen this episode, but please stop reminding me. This would be usefull in areas where the show airs months after the original airtime.
3) A third press would turn it white with the text "Recorded". This should probably be accompanied with a search option, so that during a night with nothing on tv, you can find something you have recorded.
4) A fourth press would turn it black or mayby blue with the text "Do not watch". This is for unaired pilots, season recaps and other special episodes you have no intention of watching.
5) A fifth press would turn it blank with the text "Not yet watched", so that it again will show in the list of unwatched episodes.

The colors and text may have to be different, the main thing is that they have a clear contrast to each other, so that you have no doubt what they are and mean.

In theory this is a nice idea, but as of now SeriesGuide only uses data from
thetvdb.com.
For the sites you are suggesting: do you know if any of them allow usage of
their databases free of charge by third-parties? And most important, an API
would be required to get to that data...
If you suggest I should create my own database based on all this information
(if it is allowed) I have to say I cannot afford hosting this on my own
(especially as SeriesGuide is free of charge).

I'd love to see the integration of trakt.tv in some way. There is a documented API available and the platform is gaining popularity pretty fast these days. Maybe this could also provide data for the already listed todo 'Option to discover top or high rated shows'.

Thanks for your input. Hope everything's working out for you!
To 1: try disabling the "Only future episodes" setting and then use the main
show list. This is exactly what SG was build for in the beginning.

The idea with the downloaded/recorded checkbox (2) is truly interesting.
However 'just' adding another checkbox seems odd, maybe an optional
multi-state-checkbox or something like that.
For 3) I'm not sure. For upcoming episodes you can get to the episode
information quickly via 'Upcoming' right now. Am thinking about this. Maybe
the whole way the data is structured needs to be thrown over...

And to end with, sorry for the late answer and yes, a design overwhole is
also needed desperateley.

Three things...
1) extend the recently aired portion further...maybe infinitely...I am in iraq, sometimes I don't get to keep up with series easily.
2) add another checkbox for recorded or downloaded...as stated above, not always up to date with series, sometimes I don't know which ones I have, let alone what I have seen
3) touching a series should enter the current season...prefferably current episode...check out tv show tracker on ipod...they have that part right

P.S. a bit of color and eye candy in the series view would not hurt...maybe even a selectable background color

The good thing about a wishlist is that you can throw ideas out there and realistically know that the idea may never get applied. But at least it's being heard.

There are 2 nomenclatures commonly used for expressing a show.

1) S01E12 - Season 1 / Episode 12

2) 3x14 - Season 3 / Episode 14

I'm partial to the first nomenclature. You might ask yourself, does it really matter? Well if the application didn't post to Twitter, FB, other other apps (hopefully GetGlue in the future) it probably would not be a big deal. But it does and I really wish it was the other way in the application.

It would be cool if you could customize the message that went out a little. Maybe have variables to represent different things.

$S = Season Number
$E = Episode Number
$N = Show Name
$n = Episode Name
$h = SeriesGuide Hashtag

Plus maybe a variable that coverts the show name into a hashtag like GetGlue does.

I would like to wish for an option to not sort on "The". ie - The Big Bang Theory would sort on B not T. It should probably be selectable because some people may want it to sort the other way.

Already seen it :D The 1.8.9 update includes already a partial translation,
didn't know you were right in the middle of it. The next update will inlcude
